Thanksgiving Couponing!
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I hope you are enjoying this great day. A time to relax, enjoy your friends and family and eat yummy food! I know I have done all that today but that is not all! My sister in law, Bekah and I went to do some deal shopping at CVS and Bi-Lo.
This morning at 9 am Bekah and I met at CVS to get some "Black Friday" deals. There are a ton of freebies so I couldn't pass it up. I stayed up until 11 pm working on my specific transaction list. I am now very tired. Anyways, here is a breakdown of my transactions:
Transaction 1:
- 2 Colgate Toothpastes (2.87 get back 2.87 ecb) used (2) $1 off coupons
- 1 Benefiber 3 C (1.49 get back 1.49 ecb) used (1) $2 off coupon - .51 overage
Total OOP: $2.23 plus tax Total Saved: $6.24 plus got back $7.23 ecb
Transaction 2:
- 2 Mars Candy (.75 get back .75 ecb) no coupon but then found 2 at home
- 1 Advil PM (4 ct.) (.99 get back .99 ecb) no coupon
- 1 Kleenex (1.50 get back 1.50 ecb) no coupon
- 2 Reese Minis (.99 get back .99 ecb) no coupon
- 1 Excedrin Reg/PM (.99 get back .99 ecb) no coupon
Total OOP: $0.64 Total Saved: $10.67 plus got back $6.96 ecb
{Used $6.96 ecb from previous transaction - one was adjusted down so I could use it.}
Transaction 3:
- 2 Mars Candy (.75 get back .74 ecb) no coupon
- 1 CVS batteries (3.65 get back 3.65 ecb) no coupon
- 1 Advil pocket pack (2.99 get back 2.99 ecb) no coupon
- 1 Norelco Razor (on sale for $26.99) used $30 off coupon
{Side note: I know that there has been a huge debate on what Philips considers "SensoTouch" so I asked the cashier if I was allowed to use it and she said yes. She said if it beeped we would take it off but it did work. I was very happy. Bekah got one too. These will be great gifts for the guys for FREE!}
Total OOP: $4.42 (tax was $3.24) Total Saved: $68.47 plus got back $8.48 ecb
{Used $6.96 ecb from previous transaction}
Transaction 4:
- 1 Listerine Pocket Packs (2.99 get back 2.99 ecb) no coupon
- 2 Cinnamon Toast Crunch (2.87 get back 2.00 ecb) no coupon
- 2 Softlips (2.00 get back 2.00 ecb - limit 1) used $1/2 coupon
Total OOP: $4.34 Total Saved: $14.00 plus got back $8.99 ecb

------------------------
Grand Total OOP: $12.21 (this includes tax) with $8.99 ecb left over! That is like paying $3.22 for everything! Whoot! Or a savings of 94%! Super excited!
This evening (around dinner time), we headed to Bi-Lo to get some hot dogs and I mean a bunch of them! Here is a breakdown - broken down into 2 transactions since Bi-Lo's policy is no more than 10 like coupons per transaction.
Transaction 1:

Used (6) .50 off coupons which doubled to 1.00
Total OOP: $2.94 plus tax Total Saved: $15
