Rest from the Lord

"He restores my soul; He leads me in the path of righteousness for His name's sake." Psalm 23:3

"Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might He increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles;they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 40:28-31

"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30

I need these truths daily; especially this week. The Lord knew it. It is so amazing how He knows exactly what I need at exactly the moment I need it. These verses were in my "Experiencing God" Devotional for today. The words hit me. God will give me rest. He will strengthen me when I am weak. In Him I will find rest. Amazing.

As of late, I have been learning so much about God's Word. More than I learned in school or rather I am retaining more that I did then. God is opening my eyes more and more each day. I am reading "Experiencing God" and I joined a study on the book of Esther by Beth Moore. It is so awesome. God's Words are retaining in my heart.

At Woodland Park Baptist Church, Nathan and I attended Missions Confrence Week. (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday...oh and Sunday.) Ron Carlson spoke. He was incredible. I learned about Evolution vs. Creation, "Jesus" of the Cults, Mormonism, and Islam. It was awesome. God truly has blessed this man. He is doing what God had planned. And that is what I want. This is one thing I have been learning about through my Esther study; God's plan for me. God gives me the choice to follow His plan and join in or not. God may show me when He has for me, but I must choose to say yes and follow.

That was just one thing. I am learning so much more. I will keep up to date on this blog. Just for the people who like to read it. (you know who you are*best friend*) God is doing a work...especially in my life.

More to come...
