Using My Regal Bread Maker

Yesterday I started a search online to find a copy of the owner's manual for the bread maker I received from my Nana. Thankfully, I found one...didn't take too long either. (I love Swagbucks!)

After reading through the owner's manual, I had the urge to make some bread. I wrote out the recipe for Classic White Bread. I started to make sure I had all of the ingredients but sadly I did not. I did not have any dry milk! So no go...but thankfully Nathan's mom brought me some that evening.

Nathan and I will be grilling out this evening so I thought it would be great to have homemade bread for the hamburgers. I got all the ingredients out and followed the VERY SIMPLE recipe! I couldn't get a good picture of the dough spinning around but did get one of the timer. This will have to do until later.

Here is the recipe I used:

10-11 oz water
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tbsp butter
3 cups bread flour
1 1/2 tbsp dry milk
1 1/2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp active dry yeast

Check with the order your bread maker's manual states. The order you see above was for mine.

Press Basic or Rapid (I chose Basic = 3 hrs). Press Start/Stop to Begin! That is all you need to do! Super easy I must say!

I will be posting a picture in about 2 hours of the end result. I can't wait!

  1. I love making bread in my bread maker! I also have a recipe for pretzel bread in the bread maker if you'd like it :) I did find out that you can make bread in the machine without the dry milk. I started searching around to find out because dry milk was expensive and I didn't use it in anything else. You can use liquid milk instead. I just put in a tablespoon with the warm water before I put it in the bread maker.

  2. I would love to have that recipe. My hubby would love it! I have read about using regular milk but I couldn't find a great conversion. So thank you for sharing that I can use it!
