Wow! This week has flown by for me. It probably has something to do with not getting home late on Monday night and only having to babysit one day this week so far. Hailey and I have hung out a lot, went shopping and have gotten to clean the house! Still have not gotten to the spring cleaning list though or getting may garden ready. Working on the garden day is SUNDAY! It needs to be done.

While Hailey is taking her nap I will share about our shopping this week so far. I was a little disappointed that I forgot to purchase a newspaper this past Sunday but then remembered I can just order the coupons I want.

Tuesday I planned out my entire shopping trip. Walmart, Aldi and Rite Aid then on Wednesday Publix and Target. This did not workout though! Tuesday I did not get to Aldi because I didn't get out of Walmart in a timely fashion. I normally do not shop at Walmart  because it is very frustrating and I tend to spend more money than I want to. There were a good bit of items that I needed for the house and the best prices happened to be at Walmart. Everything was going great until I reached the checkout line. First I waited about 20 minutes or so to get checked out and then some of my coupons would not go through. I asked for those to be taken off because they were not a good deal without the coupon. Then after I paid I realized that a couple of my coupons had not be taken off. I went to Customer Service and asked about it. They were so busy and in a rush that the lady only gave me back $1 should have been $2.50 but I did not want to be there any longer.

After Walmart I headed to Aldi...thankfully a girl told me they were closed right as I was pulling in the parking lot. So I started to head home. I had a little bit of time so I ran into Rite Aid for 2 Gillette Body Washes and 2 Old Spice Body Washes. I had 2 transactions and no up+rewards to start with (I would have but last week I was told that our Rite Aid did not have the Easter candy deal ---I had $10 up rewards expiring and coupons---so I just bought a bunch of stuff to use it up...then after I checked out the a different cashier told me they were have the deal!!!! But I had already given my coupons/ups and paid!!! so lame!)

Anyways, I was totally confused after my Rite Aid transactions for the body wash. I ended up paying too much for the Old Spice body washes because they did not have the Fresh Collection in stock. Of course, I did not realize this until yesterday after I returned them! haha So I purchased 1 Loreal Vive Shampoo and 1 Conditioner instead. Total cost for the Rite Aid trip was $2.64 and I got back $4 up+rewards!!!!

Then I went to Publix to get some snacks and such. Here is a picture:

Missing from the picture was 3 bags of Bird's Eye Steamers. Total spent: $17.12 and I saved $25.05! Not too bad. The canned veggies are for my daughter Hailey. The Bertolli sauce was not on my list but I saw it was on sale for 2/$4 and I had a $1/2 coupon to use. That made my hubby happy because this is one of his favorites.

Next I ran into Target to pick up some puffs, apple juice and baseball card inserts. The first two items were of course for Hailey and the baseball card inserts were for me to start my coupon binder. Total spent $9.36. Thankfully I had $10 in gift cards to use from a previous purchase!

My new couponing system is the binder. I have been using a handmade coupon holder from a lovely woman on etsy.com but it is not as practical for me anymore. I will however keep using it for store coupons. I started moving my coupons into the binder but forgot to get divider tabs. That is next on my list. Anyone know where the best deal for those are? Let me know.

Well that is all for now. I have to work in about an hour. Not too excited about it. haha I love being home with my little girl and hubby but I know that this will help us have some extra spending money. Especially for this weekend...I will be going with my sister in law to the Belk Charity Day Event Sale!!! It is only from 6 am to 10 am and we are visiting with some friends probably around 8 or 9 am so we don't have time to mess around! haha My husband and I are in need of new clothes for our wardrobe so hopefully we can find some GREAT deals! I will let you know!

Can't wait for tomorrow and Saturday!
