Questionnaire

Lena over at Frugal and Thankful tagged me in a little questionnaire. So, of course I wanted to answer them! I thought it was a great way for you all to get to know me a little better!

So here are the rules:

#1 - Post these rules.
#2 - Answer the 11 questions from the person who tagged you.
#3 - Create 11 new questions for the people you tag.
#4 - Tag 11 people and link them to your post. (my addition: as many as you want - i only have 5)
#5 - Let them know that you tagged them.

1.When did you start blogging and why?
I started blogging in December of 2006 - I can't believe it has been that long! At first, it was a place to just put my thoughts down but it has turned into much more than that. I love it.

2.What was the last thing that you bought that you wish you didn't?
I have no idea! I know a lot of things that I wish I would have bought but didn't. :D

3.What is your most precious childhood memory?
Spending time with my great grandfather - Grandpa Mack. I loved going there to just hang out with him and help him with whatever he needed especially when he needed something out of my Grandma Mack's room. He also always had a jar of loose change for me to have - usually to buy candy at the penny store.

4. What is your favorite color and why?
My favorite color is green. I have always liked this color. It just makes me happy!

5. What was your best date with your significant other?
The night he proposed to me. Nathan took me to Atlanta for a concert. We ate at Joe Montana's Grill for dinner and Starbucks for dessert. We took a stroll to the Atlanta Centennial Park where he proposed to me! Best date ever!

6.What do you consider your biggest achievement in life?
When I had my daughter Hailey and my next one will be when I have my daughter Harper.

7.Are you a loner or would you rather be in a crowd?
Well, I use to be the type of person that needed to be in a crowd but being married to my husband Nathan has helped me to enjoy times by myself. I am now more of a half and half type girl. I love time with my friends but there are times I want to be a loner.

8.What was the best meal you've ever had?
Pretty much, anything my husband's mother in law makes! As well, as my Nana. I love home cooking. I can never pin point my best one.

9.If you were granted 3 wishes from a genie, what would you ask for?
To get my student loans paid off. Send my husband to Master's School. Have enough money to pay for my daughter's educations.

10.If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I have always wanted to go to Figi. It just looks like the most beautiful place on earth.

11. Who is your best friend?
My best friend is Nina Howard. I met her in college and we have the same core group of friends. Even one of them is my sister in law. :D She has always been there for me. Even when my mother passed away her and her family drove from Augusta, Ga to Erie, Pa (about a 19 hour drive) to be with me. I consider her one of my sisters and her family my family.

  1. So fun!

    1. What is your most favorite thing to blog about?
I love to blog about what books I've read :)

    2. What was your best saving trip?
The trip we took last year - we traveled to Petoskey (about three hours from our home) and we used cash to pay for everything but the hotel (and we used our debit card for that)

    3. What is your favorite food?
This one is easy - french fries!

    4. Who is your favorite musician/singer?
Hmm, the person I could probably listen to all day on repeat... probably Sarah McLachlan.

    5. Where did you grow up?
Birch Run (in Michigan) - very small town!

To save an 8-month emergency fund, to learn how to sew, and to can a LOT this summer

    7. Share any advice you have with your readers about starting their own blog.
Have a vision for what you want. Read a lot of other peoples' blogs to see what you like and don't like and build from there.

    8. If you could move from where you are now, where would you move?
This is a hard one, but if I could move further up north in my state and still keep my job, I would :)

    9. What is your favorite hobby?
    Reading!

    10. Share one thing you have learned about yourself in the past year.
I take more pleasure in saving than spending money.

    11. Who is your best friend?
    My husband!
