Update on Pregnancy!

I am sitting at the kitchen table right now at 2:38 am - trying to get sleepy again. I went out to eat tonight to Big River Grille and I have had a huge stomach ache. I do not think I will eat there again.

As of this coming Monday, I will be 36 weeks pregnant. The end is near! I am so excited. I have been having some problems with my gallbladder lately so the end could come sooner. I am on some pain medicine to help keep Harper in a little longer.

I have had a gallbladder ultrasound and other tests ran to see what is going on. They didn't find anything - my doctor thinks that my gallbladder is just not functioning properly. The only way to deal with this is to take it out but that would mean delivery. We are not there yet. So I have to wait out the pain.

I told my husband that I am glad I have a high pain tolerance. You wouldn't know I am in pain when you talk to me unless I say something. (I have played in a basketball game with a immobilizer on my left leg - from my thigh down to my shin - surgery was that week on my knee. haha)

This pain though has been a bit of...well a pain since I still have to take care of the household and Hailey and Eden. My nana was here for a few days which was so nice. She helped me clean, make dinner and take care of the girls. Nathan has been helping out too. He has cleaned the kitchen, helped with laundry and taken care of Hailey while I rest.

I would really appreciate your prayers as I continue to deal with this. And for the Lord's wisdom on what to do next. I want to get my gallbladder out when I go in to give birth so I do not have to recover from 2 surgery's back to back. But I think this may mean a c-section.

Pray that God will provide us with what we should do in this situation. I do not want an epidural - when I got one with Hailey I ended up getting a blood patch done. I had a spinal leak which caused a HUGE migraine (couldn't think at all) - the blood patch was worse than the whole time I was in labor.

So I do not want to go through that again. Thank you for your prayers. I hope you are having a great weekend!

Let me know if you have any advice for me!

  1. Wow so close! I went into labour with my last baby at 37 weeks!! I had all 4 without interventions or medicine and it was fantastic! I cannot even imagine what it would have been like with all the meds! My best advice would be to stay away from the hospital room for as long as possible b/c once you are there. The nurses always want to "help" you get to hold your baby as soon as possible, sometimes adding extra side effects =(
