What is for dinner this week? I am gonna be creative!
Sunday: Leftover Southwestern Chicken and Kohlrabi Fries
Monday: Chili & Lime Tilapia, mashed potatoes and zucchini
Tuesday: Steaks, grilled green peppers and rice
Wednesday: Spaghetti with meat sauce
Thursday: Grilled Chicken, radishes and beets
Friday: Dinner with family
Saturday: Mother's Day meal
I hope I can stick with the plan. We shall see. Need to eat up our veggies from the CSA box!
Oh, I just love this picture of all the delicious produce!! I need to try kolrabi fries. I love kolrabi fresh. I just grate them, add a pinch of salt and sometimes a dollop of sour cream/plain yogurt...mmm.
ReplyDeleteThank you! The kolrabi fries were pretty good (we have never eaten it before) but I would probably bake them next time instead of fry them in the pan to be different. I do not think I will eat it fresh though. Let me know how you like the fries!
DeleteI had no idea what Kohlrabi (what a complicated name) was until I googled it. And I realized I have been eating it for years, just wasn't familiar with this name. Lena, I eat it fresh too. Back home we make this salad with grated Kohlrabi, grated carrots, grated red cabbage and vinaigrette. I love it!
ReplyDeleteWe also stuff them with a mixture of rice and ground beef and bake them. Delicious!
I may try it in a grated salad like the one you said. I actually just learned that I am not suppose to eat it right now because of the gallbladder pain I have been having. Oops. It was pretty good as fries though. :D
DeleteOh and I will for sure try mixing them in rice and ground beef. Do you put sauce on them?
